Amanda had enrolled into a school for academically honored students and was able to afford being a school that was mostly for richer children. She took a class trip to Europe and graduated from school two years earlier than regular students. She fell in love with a boy whose grandmother didn't approve of their relationship. She slept with that boy and his grandmother witnessed it. Since the boy's grandmother was a practitioner of magic, she cursed a strand of her hair. On the plane ride back from the trip she cried after seeing her monster form. She did not initially know how to control her monster form, but eventually with practice would be able to transform at will. However, the effects of her transformation would cause her to age in reverse, resulting in becoming younger with each transformation. She used her transformation to fight crime under the alias Monster Girl and continued to fight crime despite the adverse effects of her transformation.[1]
Transformation: Due to a curse placed on her, Amanda can transform into a masculine-looking troll-like monster being at will. At first, she wasn't able to control it, but would eventually gain control of it through practice. Her monster form grants her the following abilities:
Superhuman Strength: Monster Girl possesses superhuman strength, enabling her to lift in excess of 60 tons. It is conceivable her strength will increase in proportion to her size.
Superhuman Dense Tissue: Amanda's transformation causes her muscles to become larger, attributing to her superhuman weight. Her body's skin is immune to most forms of conventional injury, including extremes in temperature and pressure, open flame, severe cold, radiation, and concussive forces such as impacts and explosions. With this, it grants her superhuman strength and makes her skin harder to pierce than a normal Human’s. It also increases the amount of punishment she can take to a superhuman level.
Reversed Aging: When Amanda reverts back to human form, her cells rebuild incorrectly. This had caused her to get younger with each time she uses her monster form. However, her monster form would grow larger as she got younger. When she made her debut, she was 29, but had the appearance of a 12 year-old girl. Robot would soon discover this problem and come up with a solution. Robot gave her a belt that would store part of her original cells when she transforms and keep them until she reverts back, helping her maintain her physiological age. With this and being in the Flaxan dimension for nearly thousand years, she would have a more adult-like appearance.
