History

Hell and its demons are featured in the Spawn series. Mercenary Al Simmons gets betrayed by his own employers, dies, and goes to Hell. He then makes a deal with the Devil that if he agrees to fight with Malebolgias (Guardian of Hell) he would get to return to Earth and see his wife again. Throughout the comic he meets and fights many nefarious characters.
