  • Hi Queso, I sent a message on twitter but you may not have received it. Are you still active on Wikia? I haven't seen you around. We have some admin tasks I'd like to get us working on. Are you still interested in actively administering the Wiki?

    • Hello,

I fell of the wagon so to speak with wiki stuff a long time ago and am no longer interested in actively adminstering. Thank you for reaching out. Queso6p7 06:27, October 1, 2015 (UTC)

    • Queso, interests come and go. While I'd love it for you to come back, I fully understand other priorities and interests popping up. You might have missed there was a security breach on Wikia the other day. You might want to change your password if you hadn't already.

In the meantime, I think we should move your admin rights to someone who might be more active on the wiki. If you should ever want to come back, you're more than welcome to get admin rights again, but until then maybe we should remove the responsibility and risk. Any concerns or thoughts?

    • Thanks for the info about the security breach as I hadn't heard. I fullly agree about moving the admin rights to an active user. There were several on the image wiki, but I know you have a more informed opinion as I saw your  name pop up way back when I was first active on the DC one. :) Thanks for reaching out. • Hi

Having a few problems on the Tale of Honor page. I have added the image and template and then put in the reference in the comics page but it seems to be duplicating the image, aaagggh!

    Can you help?

  • In terms of site rules/policies, what should be done if a characters nickname is a profanity, case in point F@#Rface (insert swearword) from Deadly Class? I was going to put his realname, which he never goes by, as the page name, but since he always goes by the swear word I'd use that as nickname, is that acceptable?

    • I'd just leave that portion blank for now and avoid profanity, as that's way too much. Although not a part of this universe, I'd be iffy just having arseface from Preacher as a nickname, to be honest, and his nickname was just for humor purposes.

  • I'm being throttled on renames. Can I get this upped for a bit or released? I'm trying to rename all the characters in Chew to have a (Chew) universe to organize things a bit better.

    • I've done a little digging into this but haven't found a satisfactory answer for it yet. So far, it seems your account might have to be vetted for a bit longer as to not impeded your renaming ability. I'll keep checking out other possibilities. Keep me posted if you have any other issues. Queso6p7 08:52, January 22, 2015 (UTC)

  • I tried creating a new powers category for Chew. I clearly am not doing a good job. Whenever i try and link to it with the { { Cibopath } } it brings in the content instead of just linking to it. Can you help get me some guidance on how to do this correctly? Sorry, trying to buff up the contents...

    • Sorry, this is on the Anthony Chu page I'm trying to figure out what I did wrong?

        Loading editor
    • I added the template which links to the category page you created, and then added said template to Chu's page. Now it should work. Queso6p7 10:06, January 18, 2015 (UTC)

    • So cool. I wish I knew how to do that and I'd do it for you. Thanks for your help

    • You're welcome! You've already contributed quite a bit and I've no doubt you'll keep being self sufficient.  I'd be happy to walk you through, but I basically learned it by looking at templates from the dc wiki, working backwards, and applying the same principles here. Feel free to try some stuff out in the good old, but never used, sandbox. Queso6p7 08:54, January 22, 2015 (UTC)

  • Do you guys not use appearance tags here? It seems like when i put it on characters it just replaces their name?

  • Hey Queso6p7! I recently founded the wiki Outcast wiki. I also will be getting the main url, outcast.wikia.com soon. I was thinking, since Outcast is from image comics, if we could affiliate?

  • Hey,Queso6p7, I've got my own Image wiki at http://imageuniverseroadmap.wikispaces.com/, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in us combing our wikis.  I would shut down my wiki and move all its information here, and I'd become a Bureaucrat and Sysop here.  Does this sound appealing to you?

Please let me know if you're interested or not.

    • Hey John,

Sorry for the late response. I don't check back into the wikis all that often any more. Let me do some more digging and I'll get back to you with an actual answer. Thanks for reaching out.

  • So, if a series only has one volume (so it would be misleading and/or unnecessary to refer to it as Vol. 1) but the name of the series could also refer to a character, team, etc. What is the recommended title for the series page? For example, Bloodstrike. Do I refer to it as "Bloodstrike Vol. 1" even though there is no Vol. 2? Do I call it "Bloodstrike (Series)"? Or "Bloodstrike Comic"? What exactly is the policy?

      Loading editor
    • Comic wiki naming conventions say that we add a volume for a series, even if it's the only one. It's kind of a way to bookmark a series because you never know if it'll be rebooted or what have you. You named Pitt Vol 1 correctly, but if you want a more detailed explanation on naming just check out this page here. To take your Bloodstrike example, if you were adding in info for said series and this was the first entry about the series on the wiki, you would name it Bloodstrike Vol 1. The assumption is that a volume is a series of comics so there's no need to specify either one as "volume" covers both definitions. Let me know if this makes sense and I'd be happy to help with more concrete examples if need be. Thanks for your contributions to the wiki. :-) Queso6p7 06:15, November 4, 2014 (UTC)

  • Hi, I'm new to the whole wiki scene, and while I seem to be getting the hang of it for the most part, there are still a few things I'm unclear on. For starters, how exactly do I rename a page? I've created a few now and it's been brought to my attention that they may be in need of a clearer name but I see no option to edit that. So, where exactly does that happen?
