Synopsis for the 1st Story
In Iraq, a Stormwatch team led by Synergy is helping UN troops dispose of nuclear weapons when they are suddenly attacked by a team of superpowered terrorists. As the two teams fight, Synergy contacts Weatherman at the UN. He identifies the terrorists as Heaven’s Fist and recalls the rest of Stormwatch. Heaven’s Fist massacres the UN troops and overwhelms the Stormwatch team, killing new recruits Blitz and Damascus. On Skywatch II, Fuji sees Hellstrike’s energy form re-coalesce. When recalled to the UN, he requests they prepare a new containment suit for Hellstrike. In St. Petersburg, Winter gets the recall order after executing a Russian mafia kingpin. Fahrenheit teleports to the UN from the beach in Rio de Janeiro. At the UN Dag Hammerskjold prison in the North Atlantic, Ken Tucker releases Flashpoint from his cell and informs him that he is reactivated. Nautika refuses Diane LaSalle’s plea to return to active duty and instead insists on keeping watch over her injured husband, Sunburst. Cannon is visiting Diva’s grave in Milan when Weatherman teleports in to recruit him back to the team. Later, Weatherman briefs the gathered team members on the situation in Iraq. Just as they prepare to launch a rescue mission, Battalion returns and joins them.

Synopsis for "Synergy"
Synergy visits the home of ex-Stormforce member Melanie Fulbright. Fulbright previously refused to let Christine activate her latent superhuman powers. But now, the psychic Providence has convinced Fulbright she must have her powers in order to save the lives of her family. Upon learning of Providence’s involvement, Synergy is dubious but recalls the UN council insisting that she activate Fulbright if the opportunity arose. Providence then warns Christine that, if activated, Fulbright will go on to become a mass murderer. Providence wants to force Synergy to choose between saving Fulbright’s family and protecting humanity from Fulbright. Christine turns to leave but then stops and tells Fulbright what she has decided.
