Synopsis for "Changes part 4"
On an asteroid near Mars, Lady Supreme recovers from her battle with the Shepherd. She tells herself Earth’s other heroes can deal with the Keep and leaves to search for the original Supreme. On Earth, Kid Supreme is caught up in the global outbreak of violent hatred. Beneath Washington, D.C., an alien called Sith that psychically feeds on negative emotions is using his captive telepath Psi-Fire to stoke hate and violence worldwide. Kid Supreme tracks down a person who sucker-punched him and discovers she is a superhuman calling herself Latina. Upon seeing him, she uses her electrokinetic powers to kill a bystander. She then lunges at Kid Supreme, but he dodges her, and she hits a wall and falls unconscious. Horrified by her actions, he leaves and blames himself for the bystander’s death. Latina wakes up and vows revenge on him. On Other-Earth, Beckett confirms for the original Supreme that the older Supreme is his exact duplicate. With his own body stripped of its powers, the original Supreme has Beckett help him transfer his consciousness into his doppelganger’s body. Once the process is complete, he stands reinvigorated and plans to take on whoever it is that has trapped him on Other-Earth.
Notes
- This issue is part of the "Hate!" event featured across the Extreme Universe line of titles in early 1996. In Maximage #3, Maximage identifies the alien Sith as the source of the psychic hate plague and stops him.
